Assens Seaport Village
The city of Assens is a cosy seaport that is placed around 12 kilometres from Sandager Næs Camping. Here you will not only find a long list of grocery stores, such as Netto, Rema 1000, Aldi and Super Brugsen, you will also find a shopping street filled with charm and idyllic atmosphere.
You will also be able to get lots of culinary experiences when visiting one of the many town restaurants or you can enjoy a delicious ice cream while enjoying the view from the harbour. Assens has a size that makes it easy to get around and there is free parking most places.
In the summer time the town is especially full of life because of the many tourists, but also because of the many local arrangements on both the harbour as well as in the rest of the town.
Assens also has a combined cinema and concert venue called Tobaksgaarden. Here, popular Danish and foreign musicians perform all year round. See the programme at tobaksgaarden.dk
Strøjer Samlingen – The Strøjer Car Collection
Strøjer Samlingen is an extremely popular attraction that is only open to the public for a few days a year. Here you will be able to find a large collection of cars. The collection includes unique cars such as royal cars, Le Mans Cars, Grand Prix and race cars. It is every car enthusiasts dream to peek into this world of luxury cars.
The cars are all exclusive and all hold a great story, for example a famous owner or maybe the car has been used for a specific purpose. This applies for example to the grey Aston Martin that starred in the James Bond film “Die Another Day”.

Pulsen and Arena Assens
Pulsen is situated by Arena Assens, the town sport centre, and is an outdoor playground for all.
Here you will be able to find petanque, squash, running track, playground, bonfire, picnic, football pitch, training facilities and much more. An impressive and popular area with both locals and tourists.

Assens Bowling Centre and Playland
Assens Bowling Centre is an activity centre with 8 bowling lanes, an in-door play land for the little ones, gaming machines, snooker tables etc. The centre is only a 10-minute drive away from the campsite.
This place is perfect for rainy days or if you just wish to dine in town in a place where there is room for the whole family. The centre has a restaurant where you can enjoy a large buffet at affordable prices. Alternatively, we can recommend their burgers and the best spare ribs on western Funen.

Mountain Bike Route in Assens
The Mountain Bike Route around Assens Stadion and Brunebjerg, Assens
In the forests around Assens Stadion and Brunebjerg, Assens, you will find a mountain bike lane surrounded by a hilly terrain. Here there are open slopes and areas of forest and streams so there are lots of opportunities for a challenging ride.
The route is clearly marked with white and red reflexes and changes between gravel, forest floor and grass. There are single tracks between dense vegetation as well as more open areas on wider paths along with U-turns and steep terrain.
If you are interested in even further MTB challenges there is also an amazing track in Haarby, only 30 km from the campsite.
Draisines
Experience the beautiful nature of Funen in a new and different way – go on a Draisine ride.
A fun and active experience for the whole family. The route runs between Assens and Tommerup St. and on your way, you will be able to enjoy the view of Dreslette Church, the Helnæs Bay and the old fishing village Torø Huse. The Draisines are easy to pedal and there is room for three or four people on the bike. Along the tracks, you will find rest areas with tables and benches. The Draisines are sure to be a popular choice on your holiday.
Football Golf West Funen
Football golf is a new and exciting game where everyone can participate regardless of age, gender and football talents. The game is played as golf but instead of using a club players kick a football into a hole. The pitch has 18 holes like a golf track and there are some obstacles along the way before you reach your goal.
At Football golf West Funen, there are also lots of other fun activities. You can play standard miniature golf or have fun on the playground. There are lots of fun for the whole family.
