Egeskov Castle – Southern Funen
Go on a trip to Egeskov and experience the most beautiful garden in Denmark, the enormous playground and the amazing mazes. Have a look at the exhibition of veteran cars, motor cycles, doll houses and lots more. Or visit the Danish Rescue Service, the Falck Museum, and see how a rescue corps used to look in the 1980es. At Egeskov there is something for the whole family, both children and adults. Experiencing it all can easily take up to a whole day.
Egeskov castle is located in the middle of Funen and is one of the finest renaissance buildings in North of Europe. Count Michael Ahlefeldt and his family lives on the castle but it is also open to visitors. The castle park belongs to the European elite and is also referred to as the most beautiful garden in Denmark. The castle and its large agricultural buildings both have exhibition rooms.
LEGOLAND® – Billund
LEGOLAND® is Denmark’s number one tourist attraction. In this amusement park, you can take a walk in the LEGO Miniland amongst millions of LEGO blocks – and the collection keeps expanding. LEGOLAND® consists of more than 60 million LEGO blocks and is filled with fun and impressive things to see for the whole family. Look forward to getting butterflies in your stomach on the roller-coaster rides or how about a pirate water game? LEGOLAND® has lots of impressive LEGO models and many different play opportunities for the little ones in LEGO DUPLO® land.
Fjord & Bælt -The Magic of the Sea – Kerteminde
Dive into a world of unique experiences with the animals of the sea. Fjord&Bælt makes you smarter on the wonderful world of the sea. Pet a crab or a starfish, touch a flatfish and discover the seabed. An ocean of experiences awaits in Fjord&Bælt.
Look at small unique whales, porpoises and playful seals or follow the whereabouts of a pipe fish. Be fascinated and surprised of the wildlife that exists in the ocean around us.
Naturama – Modern Natural History – Svendborg
In Naturama, natural history is told in a completely new way. Experience animals at sea, on land or in the air, staged in an impressive natural theatre with changing sound, light, film and images. In the weekends and on holidays there are tours, shows and activities for children and adults. And in Naurama’s sensory activity room for children, the little ones can experience winter, spring, summer and fall all year round. This is executed in a fun way where all the senses are activated.
Givskud ZOO – Give
Come and experience a day in the kingdom of animals. Bring your family on safari in your own car or go on a ride with the Givskud Zoo safari bus and come close to the animals. Drive across the African Savannah where the wild animals cross your path right in front of you.
Continue into the dangerous territory of the lions, if you dare, and feel the thrill when the big cats are lurking around right outside your door. If you dare, that is. When you are full from animal experiences, Givskud Zoo offers play time and a cosy atmosphere for both children and adults. Stop by the North American tipi camp where the children can bake twist bread on bonfires and wash gold like a real miner. Or let your kids play on the huge playground where even the youngest ones will have fun too! Givskud Zoo also has a dinosaur park with the largest dinosaur exhibition in Denmark. Here you will be able to see more than 40 dinosaurs in real life sizes.
